New Directions Customer #3749 was refunded in full.
On Feb 20, 2007, Mr. Jewkes of West Valley UT ordered a light tree and solenoid
powered start gate, which turned out to be
unsuited to his needs. Mr. Jewkes is involved in live television broadcasts
of the WIRL races. The lighting of the track is
intense and crew members had to work between the light tree and the studio lights.
The deep shadows occasionally caused
false triggering of the light tree, forcing delays in the broadcast. Also, the
live television demands did not lend itself to adjusting
the the start gate for total car weight between runs. We refunded the full purchase
price to Mr. Jewkes, but are confident we
will be able to come up with a design that will meet these challenging specifications.
