MODEL
MWG-1 DESCRIPTION
This low
cost solenoid start gate activator is specifically designed
to start your Freedom Track races, using our Light
Tree. When the light gets to green, the solenoid pulls the
custom gate latch. It adds a touch of drama to see the race
start with nobody near the gate.
The gate
mounts to the track with a single nut and bolt, the one that
attaches the right edge of the track to the rear pylon. There
is no modification needed to the track itself. The critical
linkage between the solenoid and the latch are preassembled
on a precision substrate. The MWG-1 comes with a hefty low-voltage
power supply.

SIMPLE MODIFICATION
REQUIRED
You will need
to make a simple modification to your gate, which is the attachment
of the Latch Strike Plate. This part is visible in both photos above.
In the top photo it is the silver part catching the strong glint of
sunlight. Installation instructions, as well as the attachment of
the strike plate are described HERE.
If you would prefer, we will do this for you if you send in your gate.
WANT THE START
GATE REMOTE ACTIVATOR, BUT NOT THE LIGHT TREE?
The MWG-1 can
be activated by two other methods:
The MWG-1
can be activated by a switch at the end of a cable. The switch
is wired between the tip and ring of a standard 3.5mm stereo
plug. If you don't want to do it yourself, we offer this hand-held
push button starting cable. $19 |

GPI
It can
also be activated by a mouse click when using GrandPrix Race
Manager software, v. 7.0 or later. Simply
insert the GPI in your serial communication cable, and plug
the control cable into the MWG-1. The GPI also monitors your
Com circuts (both directions) for test purposes.
