MODEL BTG-1 DESCRIPTION

This low cost solenoid start gate activator is specifically designed to start your BestTrack races, using our Light Tree. When the light gets to green, the solenoid pulls the start gate lever, just as you would. It adds a touch of drama to see the race start with nobody near the gate.

The gate mounts to the track in the same way the other parts mount: using the captive bolt arrangement. Two bolts hold the unit in place, and allow you to easily fine-tune the position for optimal operation. The linkage between the solenoid plunger and the BestTrack lever is solid brass. The BTG-1 comes with a hefty low-voltage power supply.

SIMPLE MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED

You will need to make a simple modification to the BestTrack gate lever as explained HERE. If you have the appropriate tools to do this, it will not take much time. If you would prefer, we will do this for you if you send in your gate handle.

WANT THE START GATE, BUT NOT THE LIGHT TREE?

The BTG-1 can be activated by two other methods:

The BTG-1 can be activated by a switch at the end of a cable. The switch is wired between the tip and ring of a standard 3.5mm stereo plug. If you don't want to do it yourself, we offer this hand-held push button starting cable.  $19

GPI It can also be activated by a mouse click when using GrandPrix Race Manager software, v. 7.0 or later. Simply insert the GPI in your serial communication cable, and plug the control cable into the BTG-1. The GPI also monitors your Com circuts (both directions) for test purposes. $39
